(As U Wish maxi dress, H&M boots, Free People bangle set, Forever 21 ring)
The summer heat still lingers as we eagerly wait for fall weather to come. I wanted to switch it up from the typical shorts or mini dress look, so I decided to put on this beauty of a maxi dress. I was recently invited to check out the lovely showroom of As U Wish & Lily White. I had a blast meeting the LA team and fell in love with both of the brands. These sister clothing lines are filled with really cute styles that are right up my alley! Not only do they feature lots of fun, bohemian, and urban styles, which I adore, but their pieces are affordable too!
As U Wish has dresses for every occasion and they have an amazing selection that you can dress up and dress down. This “Desert Oasis Maxi” stood out to me, not only because I swear by maxi anything, but because the olive color is perfect for the upcoming season. (TIP: Most maxi dresses can be worn year-round if you style them correctly. Spring/Summer: Wear as is with a pair of cute sandals and sunnies. Fall/Winter: Throw on a leather jacket, some boots, and a beanie! Always accessorize!) I really like how this maxi takes care of accessorizing for you. It comes with delicate gold hardware along the neck of the dress. All that’s left for you to do is throw on some rings and bangles to match! Such a sweet little detail that makes a big statement. The dress is comfortable and flows loosely, which is really important because you don’t want to constrict yourself too much in this heat. I chose to dress it down a bit by pairing it with my favorite dark brown H&M boots. You could easily style it up by wearing a more elegant pair of heels. I’m ready to enjoy the evening summer breeze with this exotic gauze maxi (which also comes in black!). Check out AsUWishClothing.com to find this and many more cute dresses! Also, stay tuned for my next giveaway of a piece from AUW’s sister clothing line, Lily White. I mean… what girl doesn’t love free clothes?! Follow me on here & Instagram for upcoming details! ;)

An all black outfit will always be clean and classy whether you dress it up or dress it down. Today, I decided to dress up this Sparkle & Fade Mesh Romper from UO by throwing on some heels, gold accessories (my fave!), and a bright pink lip. The awesome thing about this romper is that it can also be styled casually with some flats or converse. (TIP: Most pieces in your closet can be dressed up and down. One of my favorite styles is pairing dresses with chucks. It’s amazing how a pair of shoes can quickly change the style of an outfit!) I had to apply some bright lipstick for a little pop of color. It’s important to have a few accents here and there, whether it be a bright purse or a colored lip. MAC has a wonderful array of colors to choose from and they are long-lasting, which I love! My shoes were given to me by a close friend of mine who has wonderful sense of style. (Thanks Chrizle! xo.) High heels can truly make any girl feel like a strong and confident woman. Everyone needs at least one pair of black heels! (You can never have too many though! hehe.) And, I have to admit, I raided my momma’s jewelry box back at home for this gem of a necklace. My mom has some style, and whenever I need some vintage flair, I raid her closet! With this perfect mix of old and new, I’m ready to take on whatever today brings!

I was in the typical California girl mood today, so of course I had to throw on a crop top and some high-rise shorts. It truly was the only way I could function in this never-ending heat! I have so much love for just about anything that is over-sized. This top is ridiculously comfortable and is a perfect go-to when I’m in a rush on my “off duty” days. What I like about the shorts are the detail on the pockets. You don’t notice from afar, but once you get close you can see the white studded pattern. It’s the small details that can really make an outfit pop and give it a little more edge. Now let me just talk about these dark brown boots.. I ADORE them! I just received these babies in the mail from H&M a few days ago, slipped them on, and immediately felt like Cinderella! They are super cute, fit perfectly, and they’re comfortable. (As you can see, I love me some comfort in what I wear!) I’m a big sucker for boots, especially when they have some heel on them. The styling options with these are endless.. I don’t think I’ll ever take them off! ;) Needless to say, it was a beautiful, warm, “off duty” kind of day. Next stop.. ICE CREAM PLEASE!
(TIP: H&M finally launched their online store! Save some time and shop online!)

I can’t believe summer’s end is nearing! Luckily, summer is pretty much year-round in California. What better way to stand the heat than in a lace bell-sleeve dress?! I discovered this beauty during a recent visit to Goodwill. (TIP: When thrifting, take your time, be patient, and sift through EVERYTHING. It can be time-consuming and frustrating (especially when you end up leaving empty-handed), but the search is well worth it when you find some really special pieces. Don’t give up!) Sheer excitement came over me when I laid my eyes on this Free People (one of my fave stores) -style dress. I adore how the sleeves flow in the breeze and how the dress dances when I twirl. I have so much fun wearing this and it definitely brought out the inner hippie in me!
I will be posting a weekly fashion blog each Wednesday night, so be sure to come back and check it out. Click the links above to get this look and feel free to email me any questions or new looks you’d like to see me in!
