Today was an over-sized cardigan and knee-highs kind of day. It was on the chilly side, which being in California means 57 degrees. Hardly considered “cold” to other parts of the world, but if my nose turns red, then it’s cold to me! Nonetheless, it was a beautiful day that called for wintery pieces mixed with other articles that could be worn year-round.
Take this adorable “Once In A Blue Moon” crop top from Lily White (obviously they are a fave of mine and they take good care of me!). As you may know, I’m all about pieces that can be worn in summer and winter, and this is one of them! The blue and grey geometric top paired perfectly with this oxblood-colored “Burning Up Vegan Leather Skirt” which is also from Lily White. I’ve always enjoyed how these colors compliment one another. Not only do the two look great together, but the fit was meant to be! Cropped anything and high-waisted whatever go hand in hand. I’d say this is a lovely marriage right here! Lily White, you’ve done it again. <3
Since it was not overly cold, I got away with wearing knee-high socks. They covered most of my legs for warmth and added a wintery touch to the ensemble. Continuing with that theme, I threw on my favorite, thrifted, over-sized cardigan (which I can’t ever get myself to part with). It’s the best because it can be thrown over most any outfit. (Tip: Everybody needs a go-to black over-sized cardigan. The pairing possibilities are endless and black is always a stylish color that goes with anything!) I topped off the outfit with this black knitted beret. Another accessory that’s wonderful for those windy / bad hair days.
Now.. let’s talk about these fabulous shades for a second. Another unique pair of glasses from the amazing zeroUV. I seem to gravitate towards the round-shaped sunnies myself, but what really caught my attention with this specific pair is the detail in the design. The half frame exposing the lens on top is sure to make people stop dead in their tracks! Definitely another favorite from my personal collection which is quickly growing with zeroUV beauties!
These faux leather boots from 2020AVE are to die for. I adore the gold detailing, of course, since I am obsessed with anything GOLD. The detailing on the boots tied in well with the other golden jewels distributed throughout the ensemble. There’s always room for accessories! Jewelry is like the frosting to a cupcake that is your outfit. Wouldn’t be complete without it!
My day consisted of twirling around in this gorgeous skirt and sharing a hot bowl of pho with my hubby. Hope you enjoyed this chilly weather as much as I did!

On today’s look, I decided to go classy/chic while still keeping it fairly simple. A little bit always goes a long way. Take this black dress for instance; it is form-fitting, but remains modest in length with its quarter sleeves and below-the-knee cut. It’s great for the season and can be worn in plenty of ways. Since it is very basic, I decided to dress it up, not only with my favorite black heels, but with this stunning collar necklace by Nasty Gal. I thought the jewelry would be the perfect statement piece to take my outfit to another level. I like how the design of the piece mixes different textures with light-catching gems. What a stand out accessory and perfect match for this outfit. (TIP
: If you have a dress that needs some sprucing up, a statement necklace is a super easy fix. It will be the first thing to catch they eye of anyone that passes you by!
)The white blazer has just the right amount of edge to contribute to the ensemble. And it’s all about the details with this one. From the big gold zipper (which zips all the way up past the neck line, how cool!) to the black pleather line that trails down the arms, I’d say this jacket makes a statement of its own! (It was also a gift from my best friend, Eric. Thanks, love! <3)
Last, but not least, you have to have the perfect sunnies with every outfit! Luckily, I just found one of my new favorite sunglasses companies, and of course I have
to share it with you! They are called zeroUV and they’ve hooked me up with the cutest specs ever. Whatever style you’re looking for, they got it! Whether it’s cat-eye, oversized, or round.. they have plenty of different styles to choose from. And not to mention, they are affordable too! Like I’ve said before, we all love great style, but we love it even more
when it’s well-priced. With zeroUV, you will get a lot
of bang for your buck. Just see for yourself and visit their site: http://www.shopzerouv.com
! You will not be disappointed, I promise. ;) In this look, I decided to go with the “Super Round Cat Eye Indie Sunglasses
”. It keeps the chic continuity of the outfit, while introducing a touch of retro style which I love. These shades were the icing on the cake once I paired them with this get-up!
Little black dress, heels, perfect statement pieces.. I feel a girl’s night coming on.. Cheers!

Yay.. Fall has arrived! Although it still doesn’t seem that way, living in California and all.. But since the season is here, so is the fall style. Welcome back, beanies and sweaters! (Even though you never left my heart, you are now socially acceptable in the eyes of others!) I went for an urban/classy look today, pairing an elegantly patterned crop-sweater and heels with a pair of edgy skinny jeans and a beanie. This is a great way of dressing casual while keeping some class at the same time. (TIP: Beanies are a great accessory to show off your edgy side and can be a great addition to almost any outfit.. even dresses!) I love the subtle yet super feminine detail on this “Baroque Youth Sweater” from the ever-so-lovely Lily White clothing line. (An obvious fave of mine!) It works perfectly with skinnies, skirts, or even layered on top of a dress with some tights or knee-highs. Gold is always recurring in my jewelry choices, mainly because it works best for my skin tone. (TIP: If you are of a warm skin color, gold, brass, pewter, and bronze jewelry is a safe bet. If your are more fair-skinned, silver, white gold, and platinum will really compliment your tone!) I really dig the gold zipper and button detail on these skinny jeans, and these pointy strapped heels are one of my favorite set of black shoes. Now I’m ready to take on fall and strut the streets with this urban chic look!

Recently, we paid a quick visit to one our favorite cities ever.. NYC! On our last day there, I wanted to keep it comfortable, yet make a statement at the same time. I chose to wear this American Apparel crop top (AA’s crop tops are a go-to for me and pretty much go with anything.
) and my trusty white converse to match. Both of which tied in beautifully with these "To-Dye For Tapered Pants"
from Lily White. I mentioned in a previous post how I had the honor of visiting the LA office for Lily White and their sister brand As U Wish
(featured in this post
). They hooked me up with a few rad pieces and this one was a part of the group! I really appreciate how light-weight and loose these are. They basically define the word “comfort”. And they make quite a statement on their own. (These pants also pair well with some heels!
) I love these pants so much that I’d love to give them to one lucky winner so I can see how you
style them. To enter for a chance to win my Lily White "To-Dye For Tapered Pants"

My husband had some work to tend to in upstate New York this week, so we decided to make a final stop in the city just for fun! (I mean, how could we not?!) Of course, my first dilemma once we arrived at our hotel was “What am I gonna wear?!" So after much sifting and many wardrobe changes later, I finally figured it out. I was super excited to meet up with local friends and paint the town in this simple floral-hinted outfit. I paired this adorable crop top (that I found in the sale section at UO.. yay sales!) with a basic pair of white skinnies. While I enjoy print on print from time to time, I also love letting a printed piece stand out on its own by pairing it with a solid-colored piece that fits the scheme. Now.. let’s talk about my new favorite booties that I just received from Nasty Gal. I am in LUST with these babes! They go perfect with just about anything too! (TIP: I don’t care what anybody says, but boots/booties are in every season! They pair well with dresses and shorts, yet compliment jeans and tights. Whatever you decide to rock them with, boots never cease to add a bit of edge to any outfit!) Needless to say, there’s a new pair of hot shoes in town. And I am absolutely thrilled to call them mine and add them to my never-ending collection. Here’s to a wonderful trip that was definitely not long enough.. cheers! ‘Til next time NYC! <3
(As U Wish maxi dress, H&M boots, Free People bangle set, Forever 21 ring)
The summer heat still lingers as we eagerly wait for fall weather to come. I wanted to switch it up from the typical shorts or mini dress look, so I decided to put on this beauty of a maxi dress. I was recently invited to check out the lovely showroom of As U Wish & Lily White. I had a blast meeting the LA team and fell in love with both of the brands. These sister clothing lines are filled with really cute styles that are right up my alley! Not only do they feature lots of fun, bohemian, and urban styles, which I adore, but their pieces are affordable too!
As U Wish has dresses for every occasion and they have an amazing selection that you can dress up and dress down. This “Desert Oasis Maxi” stood out to me, not only because I swear by maxi anything, but because the olive color is perfect for the upcoming season. (TIP: Most maxi dresses can be worn year-round if you style them correctly. Spring/Summer: Wear as is with a pair of cute sandals and sunnies. Fall/Winter: Throw on a leather jacket, some boots, and a beanie! Always accessorize!) I really like how this maxi takes care of accessorizing for you. It comes with delicate gold hardware along the neck of the dress. All that’s left for you to do is throw on some rings and bangles to match! Such a sweet little detail that makes a big statement. The dress is comfortable and flows loosely, which is really important because you don’t want to constrict yourself too much in this heat. I chose to dress it down a bit by pairing it with my favorite dark brown H&M boots. You could easily style it up by wearing a more elegant pair of heels. I’m ready to enjoy the evening summer breeze with this exotic gauze maxi (which also comes in black!). Check out AsUWishClothing.com to find this and many more cute dresses! And be sure to follow AUW on Instagram, Twitter, &Facebook!
Also, stay tuned for my next giveaway of a piece from AUW’s sister clothing line, Lily White. I mean… what girl doesn’t love free clothes?! Follow me on here & Instagram for upcoming details! ;)
